The recent ruckus on Flickr about the March 15 deadline for the final Yahoo account merger has prompted me to start considering alternatives. A popular choice seems to be Smugmug, which is now offering a 50% discount for disgruntled Flickrites like me. But the choice is huge out there, a random survey nets the communtiy-based Fotki, the venerable PBase, the arty-farty deviantArt, a rather newish Zoto, etc. If you consider the other community sharing sites, then you have myspace, imeem.com, vox.com, etc. and I am sure, lots more.
