It is the end of the world as we know it

Runaway wars, runaway economy, runaway climate change, runaway life. Time to sign up for a Doomsday cult! (insert sarcasm here for the humour impaired.)

The Independent has been passed details of preliminary findings suggesting that massive deposits of sub-sea methane are bubbling to the surface as the Arctic region becomes warmer and its ice retreats.
Underground stores of methane are important because scientists believe their sudden release has in the past been responsible for rapid increases in global temperatures, dramatic changes to the climate, and even the mass extinction of species.

Bailout = Ripoff

The writing is on the wall! Hyperinflation and dollar collapse. Oh dear I sounded so sensational.

But unfortunately, the German Bundestag and the London Financial Times seems to think so too.

Being in love

Posted by kifo on September 27th, 2008

This is the loveliest and sweetest thing I’ve watched recently.

♫ ☁ ☁ ☀☁ from Karen Abad loves Dinosaurs. on Vimeo.

P.S. I got some very interesting comments about this video. I decided to quote the quote that Karen Abad who made this video used in her video introduction.

“I no longer think being in love is the polar opposite of being alone, however. I say that because I used to want to be in love again as I assumed this was the opposite of loneliness. I think being in love is an opposite of loneliness, but not the opposite. There are other things I now crave when I am lonely, like community, like friendship, like family. I think our society puts too much pressure on romantic love, and that is why so many romances fail. Romance can’t possibly carry all that we want it to.” - Donald Miller

In my name

There has been some unhappiness expressed with the Process Art Project. A few complained about having to spend so much. A few complained about having their ideas rejected. A few complained about the project being too difficult. A few complained about having to take down their work.

As the project title suggest, it is the Process that counts. Different ideas and projects will have different processes. And it is not just about the process of doing, but I think we should all focus on the process of THINKING, both linearly and visually. This is probably the main reason why some projects are accepted, while others are not.

Real Art is more than looking pretty and nice. It is more than a pretty face or a pretty message. Its only legitimate goal is to shock the audience, unsettle people, make them think, make real changes to the world. Anything else is pure decoration.

What would you do if you want to make a message in your name?
